Meet & Greet Boy Band Lollipop

A year after popular boy band Lollipop swept Taiwan and Hong Kong, they will soon take their youth pop and dance moves all the way to Vancouver, BC coming July. Lollipop will be a guest performer for a upcoming singing contest showing off their individual skills and charisma with solo sections. An autograph session will be held at the Parker Place atrium on Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 3:30pm – 4:30pm. Want to meet them up-close and personal? Here’s how.

The Year of Tiger begins with a “ROAR”

|VANCOUVER| Chinese New Years, is the most popular and important of Chinese holidays. It is a time of prosperity, family, tradition, and good will. 2010 is the Year of a Golden Tiger! The first day of the lunar New Year 2010 falls on the 14th day of February, which is also Saint Valentine’s Day, so it was a day the West celebrates as a lovers’ day, a day of romance. For others, people around the world, including Chinese and foreigners, have joined in for a various activities such as the traditional Lion Dance.

This Year, The CLF Lion Dance team was combined with classic art, history and martial arts in an extraordinary performance for our CJ boutique. Each performer had excellent martial arts background as the dance requires agility, flexibility, fitness, strength and balance. With creative chorography by Master Paul Tam, The Lion Dance brought out the full flavour of lion dancing expressing optimism, unity and bravery of people. The Synopsis

|VANCOUVER| Last night at the River Rock, ‘Singing our love’, journeyed out in search for that one contestant that stood out. The end-all, finale results for the singing event have been revealed, crowning Peggy Mao to be the newest singing Idol. The show consisted of a few challenging segments in which one of them was ‘vocal testing’ where the finalist had to solo with no music. Each finalist displayed different musical aptitude that managed to captivate the audience throughout the challenge.

Behind The Scene

If there were kinks in the production, they were hardly imperceptible, thanks to a group of hard working CSA members led by production executive, Vanessa Ip. Her hard work and effort definitely paid off as it will make history as one of the biggest event choreographed entirely by a student club. Organizing such events requires a lot of magic. Magic combined with a lot of detailed planning and collaborative team effort.

UNICEF: MUSIC FROM THE HEART

Christine Jewellers is dedicated in supporting and promoting local musicians & charity organizations in Vancouver. We believe that the next generation of music, the next rising star deserves to be recognized by the public. Perhaps every artist’s dream is to be discovered, to be given the chance to showcase their talents. Joining CSA’s music competition is one way of getting your name out there and showing others the artistic side of you.

In its first year, CSA’s ‘Singing Our Love’ competition has already established itself as one of Vancouver’s most popular event. Hosted by CSA, this charity event gives undiscovered talent a chance to compete for the title in front of a live audience. The show consists with guest performer, Jason Chan 陳柏宇, who is widely considered as one of the best Canto-pop newcomers in 2007. The renowned judges will take these ten hopeful performers and puts their abilities to the test. Singing for a good cause, CSA has joined forces with UNICEF to help raise money for children in poverty. Partial ticket proceeds of this event will be donated to UNICEF. Come and show your support!
